What is ASFS technology in vehicles?
You might have seen ASFS written on various models of hero motorbikes.Let us understand its meaning.
Swirl chamber is located in the cylinder head of the engine. Diesel injectors spray fuel directly into the swirl chamber near the end of the compression stroke. It is in the swirl chamber that air and fuel begin to burn.
ASFS stands for "Advanced Swirl Flow Induction System". So the objective here should be to provide a better "air+fuel" mixture by Swirling the charge into the combustion chamber in the engine, which helps in better burning of fuel resulting in lesser pollution and better fuel economy.
It simply means that the "air-fuel" mixture is "Swirled" into the combustion chamber of the engine, which would aid in better burning of fuel. It is similar to Bajaj Auto’s DTS-Si (Digital Twin Spark – Swirl Induction) technology.Previously Super Splendor was marketed as the Quantum Core but it was not a great success. So the company marketed the bikes in the name ASFS.

In starring of the artical you hv use diesel injector word. Are you sure bike are running on diesel?? Lot of pressure difference is there between Diesel injector and petrol injector. Petrol injector requires comparatively less injecting pressure then diesel injecor.
